About Our Designer

Award-Winning Luxury Sustainable Designer and Founder of Titanic Denim, Marie Nancarrow, grew up in the ’70s and ’80s in Holywood, County Down (Northern Ireland) in a family of musicians, singers and dancers. She is one of six children, four girls and two boys.

Her Dad was in a band with Van Morrison, & her brother had his own rock band. Marie’s love of working with denim began from having to sew patches onto her brother’s denim jackets and jeans. She learnt how to sew from watching her Mum who used to make a lot of their clothes when they were children. After a fashion & textiles course and placement with Irish Designer Paul Costello, Marie headed to Italy for adventures as a Model, Fashion Designer & Flight Attendant for Lauda Air.

You will notice a lot of Italian influence in her designs and in her last RESCUED Collection she basis the RETRO MESSENGER BAG on her cabin crew bag when she spent 4 years travelling the world. She also brings her Italian influence in here by incorporating  GUCCI FIAT 500 reclaimed car seat belt as bag straps.

Now back in Belfast as well as running Titanic Denim, which she launched in 2017, Marie also works in Wardrobe when the big gigs are in town, helping stylists for Katy Perry, Def Leppard, Miley Cyrus, Robbie Williams , White Snake and many many more.

Based in Belfast for now, her options are also open to explore new opportunities to collaborate with other like minded companies and  bring Titanic Denim to other cities and countries.
